Dr Tani Brown is an ophthalmologist who has a subspecialty interest in uveitis and medical retina. She completed her medical degree with Honours at the University of Sydney. She then underwent specialist training in ophthalmology for four years at the Sydney Eye Hospital and completed a fifth year as the East Timor Eye Program Fellow performing Small Incision Cataract Surgery in East Timor and India. She has recently undergone a subspecialty fellowship in uveitis under Professor Peter McCluskey at Sydney Eye Hospital, with additional training in medical retina, glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmology.

She also holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science from the University of QLD and a Masters of Public Health in Tropical Medicine from James Cook University. She enjoys being involved in the training and teaching of medical students and registrars as a consultant ophthalmologist at the Gold Coast University Hospital. She is also a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney and Honorary Adjunct Assistant Professor at Bond University on the Gold Coast.
